It is a crowd pleasing tradition that brings classic cars and car lovers together in downtown Forest City.

Beginning with a drive-in and free concert from 6 until 8:30pm at the POPS by renowned band, Ocean Drive on Friday, August 20, the actual show gets underway at 9am Saturday morning, August 21.

Organizers are encouraging attendees at the Friday night event to bring blankets, lawn chairs and dancing shoes.

Among those organizers is Downtown Community Development Manager Amy Bridges who promises a great time for the whole family with downtown restaurants offering "chicken, fish, barbeque, pizza, funnel cakes, inc cream, kettle corn, and fresh lemonade during the event."

The Hot Nights Cool Rides car show is sponsored by the Downtown Merchants Association and the Town of Forest City.

The show is alcohol free and no pets are allowed.

True Oldies Downtown Radio WAGY FM 107.5 and 1320 AM WAGYFM.com will be broadcasting live all day long.

Registration for cars in the show is $30 and gets underway Saturday morning at 108 East Main Street, Forest City.
