Catherine Bailey Davis, 87

Catherine Bailey Davis, 87, of Gaffney, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014. 

A native of Cleveland County, she was born on June 11, 1926, a daughter of the late James Pinkney Bailey and Annie Elizabeth McCraw Bailey. She was retired from Hamrick Manufacturing of Gaffney. She was a member of Lavonia Baptist Church and loved to cook.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, A.B. Ruppe, Jr. and her second husband, Wayne Davis.

She is survived by her brother, Alford Bailey of Rutherfordton and her niece, Christina Walker of Gaffney. The family would like to thank Charles Lee and Brenda Jones, Candy Powell and Teresa Humphries for the care they have shown Mrs. Davis and her family.

A Celebration of Mrs. Davis’ Life was held at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert Lane officiating. Burial followed in the Lavonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
