Cathy Dalton, age 67

Cathy Dalton, age 67, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Cathy was born October 10, 1955 in Rutherford County to the late Horace Lee Cordell and Ruby Ellen Arrowood Cordell.

She was a graduate of Chase High School. Cathy worked as a volunteer for Hospice for over seven years. She worked as a dietary technician for the Rutherford County Public Schools and a childcare worker at Judy's Day Care. Cathy was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Justin Cash.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 50 years, Clyde Dalton; son, Matthew Brian Dalton (Amy) of Forest City; brother, Donald Ray Cordell of Rutherfordton and sister, Anna Hicks (Mike) of Greenville, SC; one grandson, one niece, and two nephews.

The funeral service was held March 9 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Rev. Chad Sisk and Rev. Buddy Campbell officiating.
