Cavs Perform Well at Tennessee Speech Tournament

The East Rutherford High School (ERHS) Speech and Debate team competed at Morristown West High School in Morristown, Tennessee on November 3rd. This was a large regional tournament featuring hundreds of students representing schools from North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and West Virginia. Placing first in rounds of individual events were: Ollie Parton and Kayla Webb. Quantel Petty, Executive Officer of the ERHS program, advanced to final rounds in Humorous Interpretation where he was able to nab the 4th spot out of all competitors in that field. ERHS was the highest ranked North Carolina school at this event. The Cavaliers last tournament of the fall will be in Asheville on November 17.
