CDR Ralph Douglas Tucker, USN (Retired) passed away September 6, 2022 at the age of 88.
Born in Atlanta, GA to Ralph and Edna Warren Tucker. Upon graduating from high school enlisted in the US Navy. After several years of service on surface ships and in shipyards, Doug volunteered for submarine duty. He was accepted into the Limited Duty Officer Program, earning the rank of Commander. He went on to Sublant Staff in Washington, DC and Norfolk, VA. After retirement, he was a consultant to the Navy on diesel submarine systems. Doug's career spanned some 30 years and he was a veteran of both the Korean War and Vietnam War.
Doug is survived by his wife, Nancy "Tika" Tucker; sons, Randy Tucker and Bud Quinley; daughters, Mary Jo Goldsmith and Sherry Werner; his second family, Jeff Gragg and Tina Gragg, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Faye and sons Gene Tucker and Bob Quinley.

A celebration of Doug's life will be held 2-4pm Saturday, October 22 at Crowe's Mortuary.
