Chap receives Quilt of Valor

Miguel (Mike) Chapa of Forest City was honored recently with a "Quilt of Valor" by the WNCQG Blue Ridge Chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation. Quilts are awarded to those who have served in the Armed Services of the USA. Chapa served in the US Air Force that included two tours of duty in Southeast Asia. Among those present for the presentation were his wife Frieda, his children and grandchildren. "I am honored and very pleased to receive this Quilt of Valor," Chapa said.
