Charles E. "Chuck" Sane, age 89

Charles E. "Chuck" Sane, age 89, of Mooresboro, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022.

Chuck was born July 18, 1932 in Rutherford County to the late Sam Walter Sane and Minnie Lee Young Sane. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was a graduate of N.C. State University and Appalachian State University. Chuck was a High School Science teacher for over thirty years. He was a member of Florence Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Edith Kimbrell Sane; brothers, Chris, Marion, Maurice and Virgil Sane and two infant sisters.

Left to cherish fond memories are his son, Phil Sane (Pam) of Clifton, Virginia; brother, Frank Sane of Rutherfordton; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations requested to Robert and Janice McNair Education Foundation, East Rutherford High School, PO Box 635, Forest City, NC 28043 or Chase Lions Club, 149 Verdery St., Forest City, NC 28043.

The funeral was held June 7 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tonya Garrison and Rev. Mike Elgin officiating.
