Charles Herbert "Pug" Luckadoo, age 89, of Rutherfordton

Charles Herbert "Pug" Luckadoo, age 89, of Rutherfordton, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

A native of Rutherford County, Pug was the son of the late Cone Luckadoo and Mafrey Hensley Luckadoo.

He was preceded in death by Carolyn Melton Luckadoo, his wife of 66 years; his grandson, Blake Luckadoo; his siblings, John F. Luckadoo, James Luckadoo, Wayne Luckadoo, Annie Mae Stacey, Ada McComas, and Mary Walker.

A member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church, Pug was a jack-of-all-trades who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Pug is survived by his sons, Phillip Charles Luckadoo and wife, Tammy, of Rutherfordton, and Michael Todd Luckadoo and wife, Camille, of Rutherfordton; his sister, Shirley Luckadoo Wagner of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Brent Luckadoo and wife, Cynthia, Ashley Luckadoo, and Stuart Luckadoo and wife, Tiffany; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held September 25 at Sandy Springs Baptist Church, with Pastor Scott Davis officiating.
