Charles Robert Lowery, age 81

Charles Robert Lowery, age 81, of Forest City, passed away August 12, 2021.

Charles was born June 12, 1940 in Rutherford County to the late Paul Stanley Lowery and Lona Olema Toms Lowery. He proudly served the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for over 33 years and worked at Broyhill Industries for 18 years. Charles was a member of Plainview Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Hazel Jane Lowery and a brother, Johnny William Lowery.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Carolyn Pritchard (Troy) and son, Barry C. Lowery both of Forest City; brothers, Paul Ray Lowery (Glenda) of Mooresboro and Joe Dean Lowery (Joyce) of Caroleen; 3 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held August 15, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Upton and Mr. Clyde Lovelace officiating.
