Cheryl Ann Weeks Edwards, age 73

Cheryl Ann Weeks Edwards, age 73, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019.

A native of Raleigh, NC, she was the daughter of the late Sherrill Weeks and Frances Louise Reardon Weeks and widow of the late Dean Eugene Edwards. She was a skilled craftsman and artist having worked with well-known architect and artist, Jerry Miller in Raleigh, and was also a realtor for more than twenty years having first worked for Odean Keever & Associates and then for Century 21 First Realty. Cheryl was a horse trainer of American Saddlebred Horses, owner of The Squirrel's Nest Farm LLC, a breeder of German Shepherd dogs, enjoyed gardening and especially her dahlias, and loved music, especially rock & roll.

Survivors include her son, Crae Galloway of Raleigh; her daughter, Deana Edwards Gilliam and husband Todd of Forest City; a sister, Marilyn Kay Weeks Wilson of Raleigh; her grandson, and a niece, as well as, other extended family members

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 10, 2019 in the Padgett & King Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
