Christopher Dale Burgess, age 66

Christopher Dale Burgess, age 66, of Spindale, died February 14, 2024.

Christopher was born July 23, 1957, in Rutherford County to the late Grover Burgess and Callie Owensby Burgess. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth "Libby" Gossett Burgess.

He is survived by his son, Shane Burgess of Spindale; his daughter, April Burgess-Johnson and wife Willow of Asheville; nephew, Keith Biggerstaff of Forest City; many in-laws, two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 24 at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lanny J. Funchess officiating.
