Clara Glennette Lavender, age 74

Clara Glennette Lavender, age 74 of Ellenboro, died Monday, July 25, 2022.

Glennette was born May 11, 1948, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Joseph Clyde Greene and Nellie May Padgett Greene. Glennette was a retired educator with the Rutherford County School System. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Gardner-Webb University and completed her Master's in Education from Western Carolina University.

Glennette was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Survivors include son, Todd Lavender and wife Amy of Bostic, daughter, Lisa Tauss and husband Frank of Haymarket, VA, brother, Dean Greene and wife Elizabeth of Matthews, sister Shirley Pittman and husband Bill of Ellenboro, three grandchildren.

The funeral was held July 29 in Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Connor and Rev. Ad Hopper officiating.
