Clark Edwards, age 74

Clark Edwards, age 74, of Forest City, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021.

Clark was born Sunday, October 20, 1946 in Rutherford County to the late Dewey Dock Edwards and Annie Trout Edwards. Clark served as a MP in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Gene Edwards and sister, Shirley Edwards Holland.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty-eight years, Sharon Scruggs Edwards; daughter, Casey Edwards Walker (Gene) of Ellenboro; three sons, Dwayne Edwards (Crystal) of Rock Hill, SC, Shane Spratt of Gastonia and Marc Spratt (Annie) of Waukesha, Wisconsin; two sisters, Joyce Hutchins of Forest City and Mary Wall (Howard) of Star, SC. He is also survived by six grandchildren and a great grandson.

A graveside service was conducted at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Military honors were accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Sandy Mush Baptist Church, 676 U.S. Highway 221A, Forest City, NC 28043.
