Clyde Troy Owens, 76, of Rutherfordton

Clyde Troy Owens, 76, of Rutherfordton, NC, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

A native of Rutherford County, Clyde was the son of the late Troy and Grace Owens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Owens, and his sisters, Tina Owens Atchley, Mary Ann Craig, and Sandy Fox.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathy Bridges Owens; his sons, Clyde Junior Owens, and Tracy Owens and wife, Crystal; his grandchildren, Morgan, Ashley, Brooke and husband, Adam, Brian, Dylan, and Taylor; seven great-grandchildren, and his sisters, Marie Ingle and husband, Ricky, Brenda Thompson, and Trish Fumi and husband, Larry, Tyler Morrow and his wife, Jordan, as well as two children, Ryver and Charlie Morrow.

The funeral was held October 9 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church, with Rev. Chad Sisk and Rev. Buddy Campbell officiating.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
