Commemorative bricks to support flowering bridge

The Lake Lure Flowering Bridge volunteers are announcing a way the public can leave a lasting impression on a loved one while supporting a worthwhile cause.

The public has an opportunity to purchase a commemorative brick to be placed in the permanent display on the pathway of the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge now until March 8. If you order a brick by March 8, there will be a 20 percent discount on the brick price of $200, said volunteer Mary Jaeger-Gale.

Purchasing a brick is a great way to celebrate a milestone, honor or remember someone dear, recognize a favorite pet or just to share your thoughts.

Help to sustain the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge for everyone to enjoy. To take advantage of this special offer, bricks must be ordered and paid for no later than March 8. Bricks are expected to be installed by the end of April.
