American Legion Post 74

Rutherford County Library

We are working to expand our Lego collection and could use your help. If you have extra Legos laying around, we would love to have them. They will be used in our Children's programs as well as our Maker Space. Please call 828-287-6115 if you have any questions.

Fine Free February

All Libraries in Rutherford County - Return overdue items and all late fees associated with that item will be waived. Pay one-half of outstanding late fees, and the other half will be waived (not associated with lost or damaged items). Items must be returned to owning Library in order for fees to be waived. Washburn Community Outreach Center's Thrift Store: $2 bag sale on winter clothes, Feb. 18, 19 & 20. Also, Please mark your calendars for March 1st. Our first Mobile Food Pantry, Sponsored By Second Harvest Of Metrolina. It will be held at the "South Mountain Christian Camp" Volunteers are always needed and Greatly appreciated. Chase Corner Ministries: Declining Bag Sale $3, $2, $1 on everything in the Store, Mon. thru Wed., Feb. 22-24. Proceeds go back into serving to community. 1604 Chase High Rd., Forest City.

Camp Fundraiser

Hundreds of children and youth need financial assistance to attend South Mountain Christian Camp each year, and this is an easy way to help raise sponsorship funds on Mon. Feb. 22, 5-8pm, eat at Zaxby's in Forest City! At the end of the event, 10% of all sales made during this time will be used to sponsor kids to come to Camp. If you can't make it to this event, but would like to make a donation, you can do so by mail to SMCC, PO Box 9, Bostic NC 28018.

Country Breakfast Buffet

HOPE Grief Support Group

Free support group for any adult who has lost a loved one. Offered throughout the year at the Hospice Annette Cash Whitaker Center of Living, 374 Hudlow Rd., Forest City. Every other month on Tuesdays; March 1, 8, 15, 22 at 6pm. 828-245-0095.

Celebrate Recovery

Is a recovery program based on principles from the 8 Beatitudes in Christ's Sermon on the Mount. It is where people can safely work together in helping those dealing with all types of hurts, hang-ups, or habits. Female Teen Domestic Violence Ed/Support Group will meet w/Dr. Johnnie Martin, every Tuesday of each month from 6-7:30pm. Rutherford County Humane Society Thrift Shop

Open Wed. thru Sat., 10am-4pm. ½ price sale on pillows and luggage. Proceeds benefit the Rutherford County Humane Society, a no-kill, non-profit 501(C)(3) animal rescue organization.
