Book Sale
Rutherford Electric Membership Corporation is having a book sale in the lobby of their office at 186 Hudlow Rd., Forest City. Proceeds will benefit the ACS Relay for Life. Hardbacks are $2 and paperbacks are $1. Hours: Mon- Fri., 8am-5pm. Info: Karen Black, 828-245-1621, ext. 412.

Chimney Rock State Park Event
“Off the Beaten Path:” Wild Mushrooms Walk Sat. July 27; 9:30am-noon. Cost: $25 for Adults, $10 for Annual Passholders (includes Park admission). Advance registration required. Join Dr. Coleman McCleneghan, renowned mycologist for the Asheville Mushroom Club and professor of Biology at Appalachian State University, in learning about and searching for a variety of fungi. Limited to 20 people.

Support Group - 3rd Tuesday of Every Month
If you are caring for a loved one with a debilitating disease we offer resources, education, and support on your journey. Come spend an hour and relax, learn, and make friends with caregivers in the same situation. Domestic Violence Education/Support Group
