Cora Mae Turner Byers, age 81

Cora Mae Turner Byers, age 81, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023.

Cora was born December 29, 1941 in Dickson County, TN to the late William Boyd Donegan and Eunice Rye Donegan. She graduated from Nursing School in Unicoi County, TN and worked as a surgical nurse for many years at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She then owned and operated Turner's Tax Service for several years before retirement. Cora was a past member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church and a current member of Chesnee Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Rev. Benny Turner and Rev. Morris Byers; brother, Donald Donegan and a sister, Margaret Mosley.

Those left to treasure her memory include her sons, Stephen Turner of Spindale, Tim Turner (Tabatha) and Tom Turner (Glennette) all of Inman; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held October 25 at Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Cash officiating.
