Corene Smith McDaniel, 102, of Rutherfordton, died on July 14, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Major and Bertha Smith; husband, Hoston McDaniel, and son, Boyd McDaniel; brothers, Eldon and Louise Smith, James and Marie Smith, Clyde Smith, Oliver Smith and Leona and Myrtle, Mac Smith, Dewey and Libby Smith; sisters, Blanche and Bill Brock, Ruth and Hoyle Roper.
She is survived by daughters, Margaret Hoerner of Hummelstown, PA, Betty McKee of Charlotte; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Jean Smith; brothers, Harold Smith.
She worked many years at Stonecutter and General Fire Proof.
A Memorial Service was held July 17 at Word of Faith Fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Word of Faith Building Fund.
