Cynthia Gail Hogan Smathers, age 75

Cynthia Gail Hogan Smathers, age 75, of Spindale, passed away March 28, 2022.

Born January 3, 1947, she was the daughter of the late James and Kathleen Hall Sisk and the late Roy Hogan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Smathers.

Gail was a graduate of Chase High School and retired from Rutherford County School's Transportation Department. Gail worked many years at Deb Mfg., and GenPak Corporation. Gail was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to cherish fond memories include a son, Don Smathers of Rutherfordton; daughter, Lamonda Buchanan Henderson (Larry) of Forest City; brother, James Sisk, Jr. (Dot) of McLeansville, three granddaughters.

The funeral was held April 1, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roy Hall officiating.
