David Mitchell, age 74

David Mitchell, age 74, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020.

David was born February 28, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Oscar Mitchell and Creola McKinney Mitchell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Mitchell: six brothers, Oscar, Rufus, Henry, Bobby, Odell and John Mitchell and sister, Carrie Mitchell Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of thirty-six years, Lovie McCoy Mitchell; daughters, Tina McCoy of Forest City and Latonya McCoy of the home; sons, Marcus Mitchell (Elizabeth) of Shelby, Hugh McCoy of WV, David McCoy of Forest City and Deondray McCoy of the home. He is also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Mitchell of Kings Mountain and Edna Mae Mitchell of Providence, RI; twenty-two grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and two lifelong friends.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel.
