Forest City Police Department would like to announce the retirement of Detective Sergeant Tommy Turner who will be retiring on September 1, 2018 with 30 years of service with the Town of Forest City and the Forest City Police Department. August 15 was Sgt. Turner's last official day on the job and our staff held a retirement celebration for him at Don Ramon's Restaurant in Forest City. Although Sgt. Turner served Forest City Police Department in many different capacities over the years, a vast majority of his career was spent as a Detective Sergeant. He most recently served our Investigations Division as our Evidence Technician and Crime Scene Investigator. Chief Jackson commented, "Sgt. Turner will be definitely missed by our department and community. As an investigator, he brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to every case. I have always known Tommy to be an investigator who's ultimate goal was finding justice for the victims of his cases in the pursuit of the truth. I wish him all the best in retirement."
