Detention Officers Recognized For Life Saving Actions

On Wednesday October 19, Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Detention Officers Sgt. Jimmy Brown, Sgt. Karen Lovelace, Sgt. Brandie Cole, and Ofc. Theresa Snyder were each presented the "Life Saving Award" in recognition of their outstanding and heroic life saving actions in the Rutherford County Detention Center on August 22.

That day, Sgt. Brown, Sgt. Lovelace, Sgt. Cole and Ofc. Snyder discovered an emergency situation involving the overdose of several inmates. They immediately responded to the situation by administering Narcan and activating the Emergency Response System. Due to their actions several lives were saved.

Their actions reflect the highest standard of conduct for the Law Enforcement Profession and bring great credit to the Rutherford County Detention Center.
