Dewey Lee Oaks, 62, Cleveland County native, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022.

He is predeceased by his previous wife, Sue Roper Oaks; mother, Carolyn Porter Philbeck and husband Ray Philbeck; father, George Dewey Oaks, Jr; sister, Christina Alford; brother, Allen Philbeck.

Dewey leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Lynn Philbeck Todd; son Howard Oaks; daughters Brandi Powell and husband Kenneth, Michelle West and husband John, Tiffany Oaks, and Crystal Ogles Alaima and husband Chris Alaima; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; brother, James Oaks; sisters, Sharon Kelly and husband Keith, Leah Oaks, Leeann Davenport, Loretta Harrison and husband Kenneth and Regina Halsey and husband Steve; step-mother, Jane Oaks.

After serving in the US Army, Dewey worked in construction.

Celebration of Life Services were held at Ledford Grove Baptist Church.
