Dianne Couch Weathers

On Monday, November 27, 2023, Dianne Couch Weathers went home to meet her Savior at the age of 78.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James Flay Weathers III, daughter Leslie Weathers of Inman and fiancée Kevin Vassey of Gaffney, SC, her son James Flay Weathers IV and wife Esther Culp Weathers of Lexington, SC, daughter Lynne Weathers Sunday and husband Tommy Sunday of Bluffton, SC and daughter Brett Weathers Freed and husband Kyle Freed of Lexington, SC, her brother Robert Couch of Pelzer, SC, seven grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earleen and Walter Couch of Williamston, SC.

Dianne was a graduate of Palmetto High School and Mars Hill College. Dianne taught French classes at Chase High School before becoming a stay-at-home mother to her children for the next ten years. Dianne helped start the Forest City Lioness Club. She was also a member of the Pilot Club of Rutherford County and two bridge clubs. Dianne taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Forest City. Dianne used her talents for creative decorating during her 45 years of service and ownership at the family business, Farmers Hardware Company in Forest City.

A service from the graveside was held November 30, in Cool Springs Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Selman officiating.
