Don McEntyre, age 87

Don McEntyre, age 87, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Don was born June 9, 1936 in Polk County, NC to the late Fay McEntyre and May Bell Crowe Williams.

He was a graduate of Oxnard Union High School. He was owner and operator of Blue Max Hobbies and ABC Hobby Shop. Don was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Brenda Suttle McEntyre; daughter, Kimberly McEntyre and his stepfather, Ted Williams.

Those left to treasure his memory include his sons, Donnie Kay McEntyre (Caroline) of Riverside, CA and Bobby McEntyre of Rutherfordton; daughter, Lorrie Gleghorn of Vancouver, WA; brother, Ronnie McEntyre; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Don's wishes, there will be no formal services.
