Don Toney, 82, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, August 21, 2022.
He was the son of the late Roy and Effie Toney, and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Fisher Toney; and his second wife Jo Ann Toney; and 2 children, Richard Dean Toney and Christee Lovelace. Don was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Don owned Toney's Gun Shop for 34 years.
He is survived by wife Sarah Koone Toney; son Bruce Toney and wife Bonnie of Rutherfordton; daughter Sandra Sexton and husband Danny, of Rutherfordton; stepchildren Stephen, Victor (Julie), and Maresa; sister-in-law Reba Toney; and numerous granchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral was held August 28 at Crestview Baptist Church. The Rev. Kevin Rohm and Rev. Wayne Toney officiated.
