Donald Barner, age 81

Donald Barner, age 81, of Spindale, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021.

He was the son of the late Curt and Hester Barner and he was a native of Rutherford County. Donald was a member of Gray's Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by, one grandson, brother James Barner, one half-sister, Elsie Wines, five half-brothers, Grady Smith, Clarence Smith, JD Smith, and EJ Smith.

Donald was a devoted husband to his wife, Mozelle Barner for 60 years. He was a loving father to his children who are left to cherish his memory, three daughters, Tonda Ervin - Greene (Allen) of Forest City, Amy Williams (Ronald) of Chesnee, and Leisa Barner, of Ellenboro, and one son, Donnie Barner, of Rutherfordton, He is also survived by five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Grays Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Interment followed.
