Donald "Don" Swink, age 70

Donald "Don" Swink, age 70, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023.

Don was born May 28, 1953 in Rutherford County to the late Roy Swink and Eliza Johnson Swink. He worked for Fieldcrest Mill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brehannah Noel Swink; brothers, Harold Dean, Earnest and Durham Swink; sisters, Dorothy Randall, Mozelle Tate and Cora Lee Hudgins.

Those left to treasure his memory include his wife of 46 years, Janice Silver Swink; sons, Anthony Chad Swink (Bre), Thomas Bryan Swink and Jonathan Trent Swink (Jerriann) all of Rutherfordton; sisters, Helen Shires of Mooresboro, Effie Blackburn of Shelby and Marthel Matheny of Rutherfordton; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

The funeral was held September 28 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Elder Steven Beal officiating.
