Donald Fay Morrow, age 88, of Bostic

Donald Fay Morrow, age 88, of Bostic, born August 26, 1937, died August 21, 2026.

Don was the son of the late Lee and Elsie Ramsey Morrow, and he grew up in Rutherford County. After graduating from Sunshine High School, he joined the United States Army where he was in the Paratrooper Division. He completed over 46 successful jumps.

After returning home from service, he was introduced to Sue on a blind date in 1962. It was love at first sight, and they married December 8, 1962.

He was employed for 40 years by The Shelby Daily Star.

Don was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church where coaching the softball team was something he did for many years.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Morrow Webb, and brother, Junior Morrow.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Sue Pressley Morrow, his children, Joey Morrow (Cathy), Jill Morrow Webber (Eddie), and Jason Morrow (Brandy), his sister, Doris Morrow Hamrick (Bruce), and grandchildren, Tyler Hensley, Dustin Morrow, Josie Morrow, and a number of great--grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held August 26 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church with his nephew, Rev. Jeff Hamrick officiating.
