Dorcas Koon Bennett, age 83

Dorcas Koon Bennett, age 83, of Lincolnton, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late James Aaron Koon and the late Nona Jim Searcy Koon and a native of Green Hill community. She was the widow of the late James Baxter Bennett Jr. Dorcas was a lifelong Southern Baptist. She raised her family in Monroe Georgia. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by Two Sons: James Baxter Bennett III and his wife Linda. Jeffrey Tobias Bennett. Two Brothers: Herbert Koon, Steve Koon. One Granddaughter: and a future great granddaughter.

The Funeral service was held at Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Rev Charles McClure and Rev Judy Drysdale officiated. Interment was held at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
