Doris Hawley, age 68, of Forest City, passed away, Friday, August 25, 2023.
Doris was born January 2, 1955 in Rutherford County to the late Jesse Lee and Fannie Bell Harrill Burgess. Doris worked at Proctor Elementary School as a teacher's assistant and drove a bus for Tri-Community School for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, James Hawley; and sister, Naomi Maltba.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Michelle White, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sister, Mary Ann Hodge.
No formal services are being planned at this time.
