Doris N. Dennis, age 97 of Forest City, passed away January 25, 2021.
She was born May 11, 1923 in Deemer, MS, the daughter of the late Edd Allan and Lallah Nowell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Stoney Dennis and Paul E. Wallace, Sr, her siblings, Mozelle Stewart, Victor, Wallace and Willis Nowell as well as her daughter-in-law, Dera Jones Wallace.
Dee is survived by her twin sister, Dorothy Hulbert of Chattanooga, TN, and her two children, Diane Griffin and husband Jimmy of Rutherfordton, and, Paul E. Wallace, Jr of Winston, GA, additional survivors include two granddaughters, three grandsons, and one step-grandson, as well as four great-grandchildren. There are also several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 211 West Main Street, Forest City, NC 28043.
No formal services will be held at this time.
