Doris Owens Kirby, age 84

Doris Owens Kirby, age 84, of Cliffside, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021.

Doris was born Tuesday, July 7, 1936 in Rutherford County to the late Linder Lee Jolley and Mamie Vioney Earls Jolley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Arnold Talmadge Owens and James Earl Kirby; son, Joseph Eugene Owens; two sisters, Katie Jolley Harris and Maudean Hunsinger; brother, James Jolley; one grandson and one great-grandson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Vera Hill Winstead (Anthony) and son, Michael Owens (Michelle) all of Rutherfordton; five grandchildren; one great-grandson, and a daughter-in-law, Tara Owens of Cliffside.

The funeral service was conducted at Goodes Creek Baptist Church. Interment followed at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Mooresboro.
