Dorothy Baynard "Dot" Grose, age 95

Dorothy Baynard "Dot" Grose, age 95 of Forest City passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019.

Dot was born March 30, 1924 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Kinard Tilman Baynard and Lillian Saunders Baynard.

She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Forest City where she had served on various committees. Dot was a Registered Nurse and attended the Medical College of Virginia and did her formal training at the Rutherford Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated. Dot worked as a nurse for Dr. William Elliott, a longtime Forest City physician and later for Doctors England and Godfrey where she retired at the age of eighty.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Grose of Ellenboro as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Forest City. Memorials may be made in her memory to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 181, Forest City, NC 28043.
