Dorothy "Dot" Butler Lee, age 95

Dorothy "Dot" Butler Lee, age 95 of Ellenboro died Thursday, November 10, 2022.

Dorothy was born June 30, 1927 in Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Jennings Long and Winnie Fred Morehead Butler. She was one of the oldest members of Bethel Baptist Church in Ellenboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Howard Nelson Lee who died in 2007, brothers Jim Butler and Pete Butler, and a sister Betty Greene.

Survivors include her son Jennings Lee and wife Deborah of Concord, daughter Melisa Greene and husband Tommy of Ellenboro, sisters Margaret Lowery and Barbara Dycus, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held November 13 at Bethel Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Mike Sepaugh and Dorothy's son-in-law Tommy Greene.
