Ed's Pallet World donates $30,000 to United Way of Rutherford County

Ed's Pallet World owner Ed Romney presents a check to United Way of Rutherford County (UWRC) Board President Lamonda Davis. Ed's generous $30,000 donation will support UWRC's substance use services. Ed is a staunch supporter of the risk reduction, recovery, and reentry programs UWRC provides. In 2025, UWRC's Mobile Health Response Team and Community Healing, Recovery, and Thriving Center served hundreds of Rutherford County residents. UWRC provides free Narcan and overdose prevention education, recovery and reentry supports, driver's license restoration, court advocacy, transportation to substance use detox and treatment, and an array of other supports for people dealing with addiction. UWRC is grateful for Ed's partnership and investment in the people of Rutherford County to help rebuild and transform their lives.
