Edith Carolyn Earley, age 78

Edith Carolyn Earley, age 78, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023.

Carolyn was born December 10, 1944 in Rutherford County to the late Britt Vickers and Margaret James Vickers.

Carolyn was a graduate of Chase High School, and Shelby School of Practical Nursing and received her RN degree from Gardner-Webb University. She worked for Cleveland Regional Medical Center for 44 years. Carolyn filled various management positions at CRMC for 25 years and spent her last working years taking care of new mothers and babies.

She was a longtime member of Caroleen United Methodist Church. She had a heart for others and showed it by sending sympathy cards to grieving families while working as a volunteer for Hospice.

Those left to cherish fond memories are her husband, Leroy Earley; son, Scott Earley (Christie) of Anderson, SC and Anita Earley (Ricky) of Ellenboro and four grandchildren.

The funeral service was held April 25 at Caroleen United Methodist Church.
