Edna Mae Hudson Yelton, age 77 of Bostic

Edna Mae Hudson Yelton, age 77 of Bostic, NC went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 26, 2026.

She was a native of Rutherford County and worked as a C.N.A. in a number of local nursing homes including Colonial Manor.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents John and Vernie Mae Knipe Hudson, and her husband George Charles Yelton.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Edward Yelton (Casondra Hardin) and Nick Yelton (Jamie); six grandchildren, Brandon Yelton, Leola Yelton, Lilly Yelton, Tristan Yelton, Austin Beheler, Memphis Beheler; siblings, Betty Smith, Tim Hudson (Amy), Floyd Hudson, Jeraldine Costner, John Wane Hudson, J.B. Hudson, Margaret Crain (Jack) and a number of friends and other family members.

A memorial service will be held at Crowe's Funeral Chapel, Friday, July 31 at 5PM with Rev. Nate Greene and Rev. Joe Greene officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
