Elizabeth “Lib” Millwood Waters, 87

Elizabeth “Lib” Millwood Waters, 87, of Forest City, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County, she was born on August 07, 1925, a daughter of the late Grady Lee Millwood, Sr., and Reba Rinehart Millwood. She was a 1942 graduate of Tri High School; she was also a CNA and retired from Fair Haven Home in Bostic. She was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Grady Lee Millwood, Jr. and one daughter, Janice Marie Waters. She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Waters and wife Regina of Smithfield, VA, Douglas Waters of Forest City, and Donnie Waters and wife Bonnie of Forest City; three daughters, Elaine Hamrick of Ellenboro, Brenda Davis and husband Leslie of Shiloh, and Linda Luckadoo and husband Danny of Cliffside; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel. Burial followed at Caroleen-Avondale-Henrietta Cemetery. 

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Rutherford Regional Medical Center and Hospice of Rutherford County for the excellent care that they gave to Lib and her family over the past several days.
