Elizabeth "Libby" Weathers Harrill, age 78

Elizabeth "Libby" Weathers Harrill, age 78, died January 5, 2023.

She was a native of Forest City, NC and daughter of the late Anabel Ware Weathers and James Flay Weathers.

Libby is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years James Larry Harrill, Sr.; children Anna Harrill McCoy (husband John T.) and James "Jay" Larry Harrill, Jr. (wife April), both of Charlotte; five grandchildren, brother James Flay Weathers (wife Dianne) of Forest City.

Libby was preceded in death by her brother John Ware Weathers (wife Janie Benson) of Chapel Hill.

Libby attended Brenau University before transferring to Mars Hill University where she earned a B.A. in Education in 1966. Shortly after graduation, Libby moved to Charlotte, NC and started her 28-year career as an elementary school teacher.

Libby was a member of the First Baptist Church and Florence Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held January 11 at First Baptist Church, Forest City.
