Ericka Shae Walters, age 27, of Forest City

Ericka Shae Walters, age 27, of Forest City, NC, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 20, 2026.

Ericka was born December 31, 1998, and was a native of Rutherford County. Ericka was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Tom Jones, and Martha Watson, and her cousin Tyler Walters.

Left to cherish Ericka's memory are her parents, Jim "Pawpaw" Walters, and Teresa "Mawmaw" Walters, her infant son, Tyler James Walters, her biological father, Eric Walters and wife Christy, her biological mother, Hope Earley, her two sisters, Victoria James and husband Kip, and Savannah Earley, her brother, Todd Walters and wife Pamela, aunts, Sherrie Toney and husband John, and Brandy Jones, her uncle, Brad Jones, five niceces and two nephews, two cousins.

The funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel August 25 with Rev. Scott Butler officiating.

McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
