Erwin Roy Lasecki, 80, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.

He was born to the late Emil and Louise Lasecki on May 9, 1937 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He is also predeceased by one daughter, Linda Louise Lasecki; one son, Albert Emil Lasecki; one brother, Eugene Lasecki.

Eriwn leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 36 years, Pauline Lasecki of the home; daughter, Sandra Lee Lasecki of Illinois; two brothers, Ron Lester of Wisconsin and Roger Sorby of Illinois; daughter, Lori Grimsley of Michigan; son, Gene McGrath of NC; five grandchildren.

Eriwn served in the United States Army where he drove a truck. He was a truck driver for the most part of his adult life, after the Army, and went by his radio handle "Papa Smurf". He enjoyed woodworking, mechanics, truck driving, fixing things, watching fix-it-shows such as "Gas Monkey" and shows of older cars. He was always making, doing or fixing something with his hands or helping someone out. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will truly be missed, loved and forever in our hearts. A private service will be held at a later date.

Robert Morgan Funeral and Cremation Service of Boiling Springs, NC served the family.
