Fannie Belle Lookadoo Hager, age 103

Fannie Belle Lookadoo Hager, age 103, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019.

Fannie was one of twelve children born to the late James Monroe Lookadoo and Lillar McFarland Lookadoo on April 22, 1916 in Rutherford County. Most of her life was spent in Mecklenburg County where she and her husband raised their family and they were members of First Baptist Church of Matthews, formerly known as Matthews Baptist Church. She worked for Terrell Machine Company in Charlotte where she retired.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Hager, her sisters, Heggie Johnson, Lora Hutchins, Rainey Lookadoo and Mattie Lee, her brothers, Wayne Lookadoo, Raymond Lookadoo, Claude Lookadoo, and Chancey Lookadoo.

Survivors include her sons, Mike Hager and wife Cynthia of Ellenboro, Doug Hager and wife Laura of Charlotte, her brothers, Oliver Lookadoo and John Lookadoo, and a sister, Sue L. Toms of Forest City. There are also four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren,

The funeral service was held in The Padgett and King Chapel. Interment followed with a service from the graveside at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Charlotte.
