Faye Glasson Jones, age 88

Faye Glasson Jones, age 88, of Forest City, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017.

She was born in Spartanburg County to the late Harry Odell Glasson and the late Alice Mae Ridings Glasson. Faye was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and loved to travel, garden, being outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren. She completed her LPN training at Cleveland Community College and was retired from Rutherford Hospital as a nurse. She was the widow of the late Albert S. Jones Sr. to whom she was married for 66 years. She was preceded in death by one sister: Mary Glasson Moore. She is survived by one daughter: Mary J. Brown, Forest City. One Son: Ret. Maj. Albert Jones, Jr., Forest City. Two grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Terry Honeycutt officiating. Interment was held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills at P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
