Fire on Main Street Forest City showcases skilled fire and emergency personnel

We are overwhelmingly thankful for the quick thinking, professional, skilled fire and emergency personnel from all over Rutherford County that came to offer help as the former Farmers Hardware building on Historic Main Street in Forest City caught on fire Monday, August. 31.

Employees from all neighboring businesses were all safe and damage was held to a minimum to adjoining businesses. Due to the quick work from the firefighters, the fire was contained to one building.

The former Farmers Hardware store building was one of the oldest buildings on Main Street and is located at 110 West Main Street.
