Floyd Wayne Hicks, 84 of Rutherfordton passed away December 29, 2022.
Floyd was the son of the late Thomas Jackson Hicks and Lillie B. Nunn Hicks. Floyd was also preceded in death by his wife Bernetha Ann Mallory Hicks, two brothers, two sisters and two children.
Floyd owned and operated Hicks Trucking.
Left to cherish his memory are his five children and one adopted child, sixteen grandkids, six great grandkids and one great-great grandkid.
Floyd was proud to have served in the United States Navy and he served on the Shangri-la.
The family requests donations be made to the animal shelter nearest you in memory of Floyd.
