Forest City's National Night Out hosted by Forest City Police Department was held on August 7th. Other vendors and agencies at the event were Safe Kids of Rutherford County, Forest City Police, Forest City Fire Department, Lake Lure Police, State Highway Patrol Rutherford County 911 Communications, N.C. Wildlife, Booze It and Lose It Truck, Rutherford County Sheriff Department, Forest City Housing Authority, Carolina Chiropractic Plus and Hawaiian Ice.
