The Forest City Owls made sure Halloween was memorable for a few lucky kids this year. As part of a contest, six year old Zoe Hodge won the opportunity to take Hoot Trick-Or-Treating with her on Halloween night. Children were asked to write or email a letter explaining why they should be chosen to have Hoot come with them, and after receiving countless letters, Zoe was chosen. Her letter went as follows:

Dear Hoot,

My name is Zoe Ryanna Hodge and I am 6 years old. My friend Blaire Kent and I are going trick or treating for can goods to donate to the Salvation Army for the Christmas Cheer Center. We would love for you to come with us. Love Zoe :)

Hoot joined Zoe and Blaire as they went house to house collecting canned goods for the Salvation Army, and by the end of the night the wagon was full of cans ready to be donated.

The Owls would like to thank all the kids who wrote in, as Hoot received a tremendous amount of letter and pictures, and he was disappointed he couldn’t go with each and every one of you. We would also like to thank all of the residents in Forest City who donated can goods during the night, it will go to a great cause and we are very appreciative.
