Last Thursday in the Forest City Council Chambers, Forest City Police Chief Jay Jackson promoted Sergeant Donnie Hensley to Lieutenant. Lieutenant Hensley will remain in the department’s patrol division where he will assume command of Zone 4. He will also continue to serve as the commander of the department’s special operation team and honor guard.
Lieutenant Hensley is a 10 year veteran of the Forest City Police Department. Prior to joining the FCPD he served in the U. S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He lives in Rutherfordton with his wife, Shawna, and two children Shayla and Bryson.
